Governments and researchers are currently working to reduce thermal emissions caused by fuel combustion. Studies have shown that traditional energy producing technologies produce GHG emissions that contribute to global warming and climate change. This study demonstrates the environmental impact of using the OWC wave energy converter to generate power. This numerical analysis looks at how using a conical air chamber can increase the device's output power. Modeling and numerical simulation are done with the commercial software ANSYS. The results reveal that the exit air velocity increased by more than 98% when the conical air chamber design was used instead of the traditional one. The air velocity in the conical design exceeded 14 m/s. Governments and researchers are currently working to reduce thermal emissions caused by fuel combustion.
