This article examines the importance of different leadership models and their impact on the commitment and productivity of Cypriot businesses. In the modern and highly competitive business environment, leadership is a key factor in shaping organizational culture, enhancing work commitment and improving efficiency. The study mainly analyses transformational, transactional, servant and ethical leadership, highlighting their characteristics and effects on employee behaviour and performance. Transformational leadership enhances creativity, motivation and innovation, while transactional leadership relies more on control and rewards, achieving mainly short-term results. At the same time, servant and ethical leadership contribute to creating a climate of trust, cooperation and psychological safety, strengthening organizational commitment. Particular emphasis is given to Cypriot businesses, which are characterized by a family structure, intense interpersonal relationships and the need to adapt to international developments. In conclusion, effective leadership, combined with high emotional intelligence and ethical awareness, is a critical factor in the sustainability, competitiveness and long-term success of organizations.
