Psychology uses psychological theories to solve real-world human behavior problems (e.g., therapy, industrial-organizational), while Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilizes machine learning and computer systems to simulate cognitive functions, automate tasks and solve practical technical problems. Both intersect in areas like mental health chatbots and user experience design, but they differ in focus: one is human-centric/empathetic, the other system-centric/analytical.
